Put your Kitchen Aid stand mixer’s versatility to the test by adding attachments. From just a stand mixer, make it a Kitchen Aid Pasta Maker.

Here’s how to use both the stand mixer and the pasta maker.

Pour ingredients into the mixer – Mix the pasta ingredients in the mixer. Mix until a soft dough is formed and until the dough is formed into a ball

Attach pasta attachment – Remove mixing bowl from the mixer. Attach the pasta roller into the attachment slot and knead the dough with it. Make sure that the attachment is securely in place. A snap will tell you that the attachment is locked in

Feed dough to the roller – feed dough to the roller until you’ve reached the desired thickness. Cut the dough into half when it becomes too long so it will still be manageable. Repeat the process until you get the perfect result.

Attach desired pasta cutter – Remove pasta roller from the attachment slot and replace with desired pasta cutter (like the fettuccine or spaghetti cutter). Cut the pasta dough into manageable length. Feed the dough to the roller until all of the dough is cut.

Cook pasta – since pasta is all done, you can cook it immediately or store it in an airtight container if you wish to eat it another day

The great thing about having the attachment slot is that it holds your attachments firmly. This way, both of your hands are free and you can catch the pasta with both of your hands. The Kitchen Aid Pasta Maker really is a flexible kitchen tool which aids you in pasta making. Getting this is a must!

Making your homemade pasta is not easy. It takes time and a lot of practice before achieving pasta perfection but if you are using your Kitchen Aid Pasta Maker for practice, then you are off to a good start.

Kitchen Aid really impressed everyone with this handy innovation. Unlike other stand-alone pasta machines, the kitchen aid pasta maker is just an attachment to their stand mixer therefore offering its versatility. You can now practice your Italian cooking with this multifaceted device. Just attach your pasta roller and you’ll have your delectable Italian dish in just minutes. You can create your pasta depending on the attachment you are using – ravioli maker, pasta cutter, pasta roller, and pasta maker plates. Most preferably, you can use pasta making sets like the Pasta Excellence Kit and the Pasta Roller Set which are also available. The Pasta Roller Set comes with cutters for linguine and spaghetti and the actual pasta roller. This set is what they consider as the beginner’s pasta maker. The Pasta Excellence Kit, on the other hand, is for those who have mastered the art of pasta making. This set contains the pasta roller and several other attachments for creating different kinds of pasta. This is very suited for those who create pasta very often. For your convenience, it is advised that you buy this whole set instead of buying one attachment at a time.

In conclusion, the Kitchen Aid Pasta Maker is a good starter’s kit. It has varying options to choose from depending on your skill and your frequency of usage. Not only is it a stand mixer, but also a versatile pasta maker.

A friend of mine has always been a pasta-making enthusiast but the she was quite intimidated with the art because during her past attempts at pasta-making every one of them was a complete disaster. From elastic band pastas to mushy pasta to weird sauces and believe me, you too wouldn’t be happy about her hobby if you’ve tried it yourself as I’ve had. Up until recently while I was strolling at the mall I saw the Kitchen Aid pasta maker attachments and stand mixer and remembered some of the 50/50 reviews it had online so I thought, what the heck might as well give it a try. So I bought and gave it to my friend and she was so elated that I still gave her something to encourage her disastrous hobby.

We assembled the entire machine quite easily with just the instruction manual to follow. In 5 minutes she had already created her pasta dough with the stand mixer. Now before we rolled out the dough I noticed there were two pasta attachments that were included which is for rolling and for cutting dough into fettucine. By the way there are several other Kitchen Aid pasta maker attachments that can be bought. Following the instructions, we divided the pasta dough into three smaller sections to test each section out. With the boiling water standing by, we put our first batch into the roller, started at thickness one and moved to five for thinner sheets. We rolled the dough through one and two several times and once for three, four and five all the while dusting the dough lightly with flour to prevent sticking. Afterwards, we changed the roller to the cutter and made our first batch of pasta which immediately went into the water. We added some sauce to it and took our first taste-test and it was a little rubbery but edible nonetheless. So we moved onto the second dough and we changed the number of times to roll the dough to thrice at one, twice at two and once for three, four and five. After we cooked it in water, we taste-tested it again and in just the second-try, perfect fettucine. By the last dough section, she wasn’t horrible at her hobby anymore.

The Kitchen Aid pasta maker attachments and stand mixer are so easy to use that any amateur or novice pasta maker can make great pasta just in their first try. If you have tried this machine, you would also say that it is so simple and surely you’d use it over and over again, I know my friend has.
